The Long Take

1. Long takes have been pretty popular because it limited how much film a camera can hold which would cost less money. Long takes can show scenes that most likely have action or show suspense.

3. He is saying that long takes limit storytelling because the human eye is being towards a specific part of the film when the long take is trying to have the audience the scene as a whole. 

4. In the movie Spectra, the long take is shown to create suspense because the disguised agent looks to be on a mission from how he refuses to acknowledge emotion. After the agent takes off his disguise, the viewers are informed of action that can soon occur.

b. This is because the movie starts off with the death of a kid on television, indicating a dark day for people in the coffee shop. The opening is mostly silent as the camera is moving slow to represent slowness. The long take is meant to narrate the plot of the movie with the coffee shop blowing up. 

6. I have noticed in movies that I have watched where it was being used. Mostly in scenes where there is action and suspense.
